I am an interdisciplinary artist and psychologist.
In my artistic practice I explore the relations between personal and collective mythologies, ancient beliefs, rituals, and their role nowadays. Reflecting on the cyclicality of nature, and how it is manifested in human life, my works appeal to the nostalgic feeling of interconnectedness and wholeness of being. Being born in Donetsk, in a coal mining area, I pay attention to the impact of industrial heritage on the environmental crisis, its connection to politics and how it shapes people’s mindset.
I am working in analog photography, video, and performance in my art practice. I prefer the analog medium over the digital since it allows me to collaborate with the unpredictability of reality and to deal with acceptance of mistakes.
My artistic background inspires me by its transformative power so I integrate it into my counseling psychologist practice. Working with therapeutic photography techniques, I am offering courses for healing and self-exploring for both individuals and groups.
